TERACOOL WINS 2013 UPTIME INSTITUTE GREEN ENTERPRISE IT AWARD™

April 2013

TeraCool is selected as a winner of the prestigious 2013 Green Enterprise IT (GEIT) Awards presented by Uptime Institute. The GEIT Awards showcase organizations that are pioneering projects and innovations that significantly improve energy productivity and resource use in IT.

TeraCool is being recognized in the Audacious Idea category for its technology linking data centers and LNG terminals for mutual energy, cost, and environmental benefit including greenhouse gas emissions savings.

"TeraCool’s application is the first time we’ve seen the concept of industrial ecology applied to data centers. By utilizing the waste heat of a data center to vaporize LNG while cooling the data center and generating zero-emissions power, they’ve shown that a new data center can actually create environmental benefits by reducing existing impacts, while saving money and energy for both an LNG facility and a new data center. TeraCool’s approach promises to set a new standard for the green data center of the future."
